The IATF 2029 Tourism Investment & Readiness Summit brings together the key stakeholders needed to prepare Zimbabwe's tourism ecosystem for one of Africa's largest trade and investment events.

The HAZ Mandate

Hosted by HAZ,
built for the sector

Hosted by the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe in partnership with IATF, this landmark summit brings together hospitality operators, financial institutions, investors and government agencies to accelerate Zimbabwe’s readiness for IATF 2029. As the voice of the hospitality industry, HAZ convenes the operators, financiers and policymakers whose combined action will determine how ready the sector is when Africa arrives in Harare.

The IATF 2029 Context

Why 2029
starts now

As Zimbabwe prepares to host the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) in 2029, the tourism and hospitality sector faces a significant opportunity and responsibility. Hosting one of Africa’s largest trade and investment events requires a tourism ecosystem that is ready to welcome international delegates, investors, exhibitors, buyers and visitors. This means upgrading accommodation infrastructure, increasing room capacity, improving service standards, embracing technology, strengthening sustainability practices and unlocking access to capital.
